Tanacetum vulgare L.Abstract
The article presents the results of a comprehensive study of the floristic diversity, geobotanical structure, and ecological significance of plant communities of Tanacetum vulgare L. growing in the foothill ecosystems of southeastern Kazakhstan. The relevance of the study is determined by the multifunctional significance of common tansy, a multipurpose plant used for food, fodder, technical, and ornamental purposes, as well as in traditional and conventional medicine. In the context of increasing anthropogenic pressure and the transformation of natural ecosystems, studying the ecological and coenotic role of this species is of particular scientific and practical importance. It was established that Tanacetum vulgare L. plant communities are characterized by high floristic diversity and a predominance of mesophytic and mesoxerophytic species. The studied species occurs as a constant or subdominant component of the herbaceous layer, demonstrating high ecological plasticity and resistance to changing environmental conditions. The obtained results expand our understanding of the structure and functioning of foothill phytocenoses and may be used for biodiversity monitoring, ecosystem status assessment, and the rational and sustainable use of plant resources in southeastern Kazakhstan.
